Description: One morning I was watching the history channel about the 1925 storm that devastated everything in its path for over 200 miles and took the lives of nearly 800 people. The survivors described their horror and disbelief as they looked at what was once their homes, and the indescribable feelings of loss for loved ones killed by the storm. Along with feelings of hopelessness and despair. Later that day, I experienced my own storm. As my mind wandered back to the 1925 storm I had watched earlier, I found I had the same feelings of horror and disbelief the survivors of that storm had, as I looked back and saw the devastation and destruction my own storm had left in its path. And then there were the indescribable feelings of loss for everything that was taken from me by that storm, knowing I would never be able to get any of them back. Where would I even begin to rebuild the devastation and destruction left by this storm? I was utterly overwhelmed. It was in that moment that my piano helped me to deal with the feelings of hopelessness and despair that come...after the storm.
